Grunt Club annual Gala dinner 2022
Our 86th Annual Grunt Club Gala Dinner will be held at the Montreal Bonaventure Hotel on Friday,
December 2, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this special event are available at a cost of $1720.00 per table of
8 people (GST/QST included). Individual tickets are also available to members at a cost of $215 per person (GST/QST included).
The Grunt Club is a non-profit organization, which supports the following causes: Mariner’s House of Montreal, L’Institut maritime de Rimouski, The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the Saint Justine UHC Foundation. All surplus generated from the Grunt Club Gala Dinner will be donated to these organisations and institutions.
Entertainment
This year’s Grunt Club Gala Dinner with be hosted by master of ceremonies (MC), Jeremy White, along with the musical talents of DJ Toody Flores.
Table Draw / Formalities
A long-time maritime tradition with great entertainment, the Annual Grunt Club Gala Dinner is always a popular event as it brings together colleagues and friends from all facets of the marine industry. After a two-year hiatus, we expect demand to be strong for tickets to this year’s event. We encourage all Grunt Club Members and their guests to take part in this very special evening of celebrating and giving back.
As always, table and individual ticket purchases will be restricted to members of the Grunt Club. Furthermore, there must be AT LEAST ONE GRUNT CLUB MEMBER at each table.
The Table Draw will take place on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Hurley’s Irish Pub in compliance with Grunt Club protocol. A notice for this event will be circulated in the near future.
Table Draw Protocol: Members can purchase the same number of tables they had back in 2019. Any purchased tables over and above 2019 purchases will however depend on availability. Any further available tables shall then be sold on a first come, first served basis to members. As always, a certain number of individual tickets will be available for sale at Grunt Club tables. These will also be allotted on a first come, first served basis.
Post -Dinner
We are pleased to announce that a post-dinner private party will be hosted after this year’s event at Hurley’s Irish Pub, and will include a live band and late-night buffet. We look forward to seeing you there as well!

For those requiring room reservations, please contact the Bonaventure Hotel at (514) 878-2332 and advise the hotel that you are attending the Grunt Club Dinner to take advantage of special room rates offered by the hotel for this event. For those requesting a hospitality suite, please contact Nancy Ethier directly at (514) 878-2901 as soon as possible.
Deadline to purchase tickets
The deadline to purchase tickets is close of business (EST) on Friday, November 11, 2022 – No Exceptions. Payment must accompany all requests and all purchases are final. All orders will be followed up with a confirmation email.
No tickets will be distributed. If your order has not been confirmed by email by Friday, November 18, 2022, please contact Danielle Umbrasas, Chairwoman of ticket sales to verify status.
